We would like to say a big thank you to everybody that took part in Saturday’s successful Walk In Wardrobe event. Over 50 women attended the swish, with some beautiful clothes and accessories exchanging hands, and nearly 500 euros raised for the Lar de Crianças Bom Samaritano in Alvor!
A big thank you should go to the Hotel Garbe for kindly offering the use of the Raj Restaurant free of charge, the Algarve Resident for publicising the event, Vilar do Jardim Lda (a local bathroom renovations company) for supplying those fabulous colourful bags and to local artist Anna Westwood who designed our great ‘girlie’ logo.
For more information on our sponsors, please click on the ‘sponsors’ link to the left (under February).
Obrigado also to our great ‘stylists’, Nick and Tuck, who took the time to help make the day so special and so much fun… especially with their wonderful and crazy outfits!
We were very lucky to have been given some fabulous prizes for the raffle and we would also like to say a big thank you to those that donated them: Crystal Clear Body & Skincare Centre, Algarve Racing Services, Magna Carta Bookshop, www.lwrap.com, Alexandra Hanson (Ann Summers), Beryl for her fabulous handbag hook, Algarve Resident and Plastico Fantastico.
We’ve had some great comments by so many of you who took part – with the big question on the day being ‘when is the next one?’
We are certainly going to continue to organise more Walk In Wardrobe events in the Algarve and we will update the blog when we have the next date… so watch this space! In the meantime, we would be delighted to hear your thoughts and ideas on how we can improve on these Walk In Wardrobe events.
Naturally, it being the very first event of its’ kind in the Algarve, there were a few minor teething problems. Either leave your comments on our blog or send emails to thewalkinwardrobe@hotmail.com
Thank you… and we hope to see you next time!
